What is the standard for Korean conglomerates?

The Korea Fair Trade Commission designates corporate groups with total assets of 5 trillion won or more as disclosure target business groups, and among business groups subject to disclosure, designates and manages business groups with total assets of 10 trillion won or more as conglomerates with limited mutual investment and debt guarantees.


For reference, as of 2022, there are 47 conglomerates in Korea and 2,108 affiliated companies.
