liitokala lii-s4 Real Review, Pros and Cons

This is an honest review and introduction of the four socket charger liitokala li-s4 purchased from AliExpress. 


What is special about liitokala lii-s4?

liitokala is a famous maker in this line of business.

0V activation stands out, saving the completely dead rechargeable battery.

The components are simple.

It is characterized by being able to charge with a regular USB micro 5-pin (2A) without a heavy dedicated adapter applied by a typical 4-hole charger.

 

Another advantage of this product is that the display is very clear.

The digital watch type liquid crystal is blurry depending on the viewing angle and is not visible at night, while this product is not affected by it and is visible anytime, anywhere.


Pros and Cons of liitokala lii-s4

The following are the characteristics that I have actually tried and checked for a few days.


1. The point where the amount of charge is displayed in real time with mAh.


It is observed that the amount of charge increases by 1 mAh, and the actual capacity of the rechargeable battery being charged can be inferred to some extent.


Voltage, current, and charging time are alternately displayed every time the mode button is pressed.


2. Regardless of top or bottom, it is charged in any direction and four slots are charged individually.


Old chargers often work only when they are charged in pairs, but they can be charged without more than one or three.


3. When charging 18650, the charging current can be changed to 0.5A/1A for slots 1 to 3 and 0.5A/1A/2A for slots 4.


The maximum charging current combined with all four slots is 2A, so basically 0.5A is allocated for each slot, but if you press and hold the mode button, you can increase the charging current for each slot.


Only 1~3 slots are charged up to 1A, and only 4 slots are charged up to 2A.

The 1.2VAA/AAA type nickel hydrogen charger seems to be fixed at 0.5A regardless of the slot.


4. The charging voltage can also be changed to 3.20V/3.70V/3.85V. (Basic value: 3.70V)


In the case of high discharge batteries (IMRs) used in e-cigarettes, they can be charged by boosting to 3.85V.


5. The expected 0V activation function has not been confirmed.


The function of saving a completely dead rechargeable battery called 0V Activation is indicated in the box, but it doesn't seem to actually work.


When I put the dead battery into the charger, it says Full and there is no more current in it.

I observed that I could just leave it as it is, and the amount of current is still 0 mAh.


6. When fully charged, it is displayed as Full, but there is no separate notification sound.
