Great Year for Lovelyz’s Mijoo - deserves Rookie Award for Variety

Korean broadcast MBC honored the variety stars and programs who lit up the network and brought viewers some much-needed laughter over the past year! 

At the 2021 MBC Entertainment Awards, Yoo Jae Suk took home this year’s Daesang (Grand Prize). The award marked Yoo Jae Suk’s 18th Daesang overall—and his 8th from MBC.

And also Lovelyz’s Mijoo gots following two awards!  

1. Best Couple: Yoo Jae Suk, Lovelyz’s Mijoo, and HaHa (“How Do You Play?”)

2. Rookie Award for Variety: Parc Jae Jung, Mijoo

This year, also Lovelyz’s Mijoo has signed an exclusive contract with Antenna! Antenna revealed the news and said, 

“Lee Mijoo has always given her best in both her promotions with Lovelyz and individual promotions and has shown her wide spectrum through her unique style and personality. We will provide unsparing support so that Lee Mijoo can unleash her flair and talent to the fullest. Please show lots of support for Lee Mijoo, who is set to make a fresh start.

I was able to see her's fan's reactions as follows.

When Lovelyz started I doubt anyone would have thought Mijoo would be the one winning this type of award. Kei was always the face of he group and Woolim really pushed her hard but Mijoo never gave up. While the rest of her group played the cute or the girl next door mode - Mijoo played the sexy/proactive/fun card. It worked!

Now that she's part of YJS group she'll probably be riding Cloud 9 for a while. Well deserved indeed!

2. 

with kpop idols from gen1 and gen 2 they would go on so many variety shows that a lot of them would become good at it. But somewhere along gen 3 things changed and now idols rarely go on variety shows, leading to them being poor at it (most of them).

And very few dare to stick out from the crowd by letting loose and just go crazy. They care sooo much about their images nowadays compared to back in the days, maybe because netizens nowadays bitch about every silly little thing and labels have given netizens too much power over what is deemed good/bad

3. 

Well deserved star rookie! I hope next year she will win a more bigger award as I already expected her to dominate the entertainment scene next year!

crazy only a short while ago I remember stumbling across her video that went viral where she did those funny poses and she wasn't very well known back then. She just had the IT factor, I'm surprised she didn't blow up sooner. Very well deserved
