Who's SF9?
To Be Sensation! Hello, we're SF9.
It is a 9-member boy group belonging to FNC Entertainment that released its first single album "Feeling Sensation" on October 5, 2016, and debuted on Mnet's "M Countdown." It is the first dance group among boy groups to debut at FNC Entertainment.
It was reported that all members renewed their contracts with FNC on March 2, 2021.
Team name SF9
SF9 - SYMBOL OF SF9 (LOGO MOTION FILM)
The team name stands for Sensational Feeling 9, meaning boys who will surprise the world, and is determined to become the best dance boy group ambitiously introduced by FNC. In addition, the Chinese character "Oll-gu" is embodied in the number 9, expressing the desire to do the team's activities for a long time.
Concepts and Story - 9lory
At midnight on January 1, 2020, the 9lory trailer was released by surprise ahead of the comeback. By analogy from the title of the trailer, the title of the worldview seems to have been borrowed from the fact that the letters of the numbers 9 and G are similar as a compound word of the English word Glory, meaning 9 and 9 members.
The worldview is basically based on Nordic mythology. Like Zeus in Greek mythology, Draufnir, Odin's bracelet, dubbed the best god in Nordic mythology, appears as the most important medium in Glory Trailer and Good Guy music videos.
Also, if you look at the trailer, each member represents one of the eight songs released before the regular album.

The music video of Good Guy is simpler than expected, and each member seems to be fighting each other over bracelets while playing tennis, boxing, and billiards, but at the end, all the bracelets are combined to complete a single sun. A prologue titled “9loryUS” was released by surprise ahead of a comeback with a new album on June 21, as if using the similarity to the pronunciation of “Glorious”. It was the day of an annular solar eclipse around 5 pm on this day, and it's a secret that everyone was surprised when the trailer was released exactly at that time. That's because the trailer itself contains an annular solar eclipse.
The bracelet (Taeyang), which was merged into one in the Good Guy music video, is broken during an annular solar eclipse in the Glorious Prologue. When a solar eclipse occurs, it means darkness is coming, and the entity that blocks the sun is a snake, a new villain. This snake is presumed to be derived from Jormungand in Norse mythology.
When Inseong looked at his bracelet in surprise at the dream of destroying it, he looked at it as a snake because Jordan's disturbance began. The faces of the members are also hidden by shadows like solar eclipses, so they are hard to see.
9loryUS's musical concept is the best. It is said to mean to show the best that has grown further in Better. The summer scent music video contains more world-view stories than Good Guy, but it seems to be because it is a story of doubt and division.
9lory - TURN OVER
The prologue was also released with the release of TURN OVER, the last third album of the 9lory worldview trilogy. Following the prologue and epilogue of 9loryUS, which were previously released, snakes appear again.
